People can say Aria's dad did thr same but atleast his student was a legal adult not a underage girl .if they loved each other then they would have waited BECAUSE REAL LOVE waits and its true instead they had a thing and tried to paint it ok. Its a good thing Pretty Little Liars Original Sin didn't try romancizing grooming in any way.

I always find the "he's grooming her" comments interesting. Until the bloody ridiculous book storyline in season 4 (which I genuinely think is ridiculous, see below), it is her that pursues things more than him. It would be easier to say she was doing things without consent. In regards to the entire book/Alison storyline, I thought it was utterly stupid and bloody awful. It felt like the authors had run out of ideas so went "what shall we do? Let's make a popular character evil!" Aria has people gossiping about her at school because it's common knowledge that she dated Mr Fitz. It would have been a lot better to have -A start causing bigger issues with that to screw with her life and Mr Fitz's life (e.g. she lied to the (deputy?) Principal saying she had never dated Mr Fitz, make more of that than just a worrisome daydream for her). They also exaggerated it. Spencer says in early season 5, "...he deceived you for years." Woah, Spencer. I don't think approximately a year and a quarter really counts as "years". And as Ezra says, he stops writing when he falls in love with Aria.

I hope you all realize that the legal age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16. Though it would be illegal while he was her teacher do to student teacher misconduct laws, once he left the high school it became completely legal. Though many may not approve, it’s not against the law.
